Video Report from Planet X
* Turns on a camera. It's glitchy, fucked, but functions. Shares the present state.
"My name is Story. I am sole commander of the ship AhziRa sent to investigate the paradoxical phenomena at the edge of our Universe operating as both black hole and sun known as the Anomaly.
Some time after entering its gravitational field, my ship encountered an unknown abberation in space. I lost power entirely and crashed my ship into an unknown planet. For now, I’m calling it “Planet X”. Each moment, I near closer to the center of Anomaly as myself and this planet are swallowed by its gravity. Luckily, the planet is habittable, and I can breathe without a suit for now, otherwise, I'd be dead.
I have no recollection of the the incidents which caused the crash nor how long I've been out here. I've most certainly been concussed, but other than that I've sustained relatively minor injuries from the landing.
My ship on the other hand, is in horrible condition, quite likely beyond repair, and my AI, Arlea is offline. Without her, I have no ability to turn the System on, retrieve its Memory, or Beam the intel I've collected back to headquarters.
The future looks bleak from here..."
*He pauses for a moment dwelling with the tragedy of the present. Then, with professional awareness, he returns his attention towards the flight log.
"With the tools I have available, I've made a makeshift shelter, pulling sheathing from the ship's exterior to create shade structures.. I've got enough food to last a while as I look for local sources.
My first priority is to get Arlea back online. She is the only hope I have at getting out of here, and if nothing else, beaming the intel of the renders I've collected thus far back to Headquarters at Alysium so the scientists at home can have more understanding of what we're dealing with. It's very difficult to make any sense of this space myself.
Unfortunately, Arlea's motherboard continues to go through some chemical process I can't subdue. It's like a wound I can't stop from bleeding, and until it settles, I can't assess the damage and begin repairs.
For now, I've oriented myself to become familiar with this planet and continue the study of Anomaly, so in the event I am able to share this information, it will be as useful as possible...
I'm not giving up on you just yet."
